“Tokyo is disseminating global culture and bringing people closer together as the city chosen to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the year 2020.
Our all-night annual art festival, staged in the streets of Roppongi in central Tokyo, will become a focal point for people of diverse cultural backgrounds to share their passion and enthusiasm for art. Art energy emanating from Roppongi will open new pathways from Tokyo to the future!”

“Roppongi Art Night communicates the possibilities of art in today’s society.
This special night captures the contours of Roppongi and the colors of our current times, helping us to feel one step closer to tomorrow.
Just as people make towns and towns make people, this event explores the allures of Roppongi, and visitors and residents interact with each other in a continuous flow of action.
Roppongi Art Night now celebrates its fifth time in these ever-changing times in the world, in Japan.
There are those who stay unchanged, while others change. There is ‘continuity and change,’ therefore evolution. This is ‘day and night,’ therefore people are stirred.
Day stretches into night, and night stretches into daytime in Roppongi.
The daytime and nighttime rhythms of Roppongi. What will it bring tomorrow?
Move Your Body! When people move, new eras are borne.”
