Within the same space we can find “diurnal” and “nocturnal” creatures, which, despite their differing natures, often coexist while living on completely separate timelines. How about in this city? For us, as long as there is light, there is no daytime or nighttime. As we inhabit places where the light shines, our sensation of time goes haywire. In this city, where we’ve lost our ability to distinguish time, day and night both belong to us…
Graduated from Tama Art University Department of Craft Arts in 2010 and began activities as a sculptor. She creates mixed media sculptures that resemble animals that resemble humans, questioning what qualities we perceive as animal-like or human-like.
