Viewers get the chance to interact with this installation. This work utilizes the structure of a kaleidoscope, and as participants rotate the bicycle pedals, the scenes in front of them will change before their very eyes. By changing the “landscape” like a “kaleidoscope”, it will seem as if the viewer themselves is moving the landscape in this work “KALEIDOSCAPE”.
Born 1985 in Canada. Completed PhD in sculpture at Musashino Art University in 2013. The concept of “landscape” is key to Iguchi, who transforms landscapes into experiential installations that offer a new perspective on things. Selected for the Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art (12th, 16th, 20th, and 22nd editions); Rokko Meets Art (2012, 2017); solo exhibition HELLO NEW WORLD at H.C. Andersen Park Children’s Art Museum (2018).
